Yeon Sang Ho has another thriller on its way
Director Yeon Sang Ho (Train to Busan) will be helming another upcoming movie, and it looks like Shin’s Project star Bae Hyun Sung may be one of the thriller’s leads.
According to various Korean news media outlets, Bae Hyun Sung is currently in talks to star in new suspense thriller Paradise Lost.
His agency, Awesome ENT, later confirmed the 26-year-old actor has received a script for the role, and is currently positively reviewing it.
If he does accept, the same news reports state he will be playing the son of Kim Hyun Joo, who also starred in Yeon Sang Ho’s Hellbound franchise.
Considering Bae Hyun Sung also had a small guest role as Eun Yul in Episode 6 of Hellbound 2, this could just be a reunion of sorts, right?
Paradise Lost is due to begin filming in December.
That means, chances are Bae Hyun Sung’s involvement, or lack thereof, should be announced soon.
What is the plot of Paradise Lost?
With AI currently in the news so much, and so many people concerned about what it will mean for the future of mankind, it’s no surprise then that Paradise Lost will tell the story of a major conflict between humans and AI.
It is based on a hit web novel of the same name.

Bae Hyun Sung’s career up until now
The South Korean actor started out his career back in 2018 with a small guest role in the hit drama What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?
He went on to grab the main lead in both seasons three and four of the web drama Love Playlist, then moved onto support roles in Extraordinary You, and Hospital Playlist (both seasons), followed by main roles in Our Blues, Dear M, Gaus Electronics, Miraculous Brothers and last year’s hit series Family by Choice.
His first drama role this year was as Philip Cho in the aforementioned Shin’s Project alongside Han Seok Kyu and Lee Re, while his future roles include the male lead in Substitute College Entrance Exam, which is set to premiere in 2026.
