The action-packed anime adaptation of Scum of the Brave continues to expand its voice cast, unveiling two additional performers who will bring fresh faces to the popular series.
The show, based on Rocket Shokai’s urban fantasy light novels, has been garnering attention for its gritty story and colorful character roster since its January 2026 debut.
Two fresh voices join the fight
The two noteworthy Japanese voice actors who are joining the Scum of the Brave lineup with newly announced roles that will appear for the first time in this week’s episode are:
- Ayako Kawasumi – set to voice Levi, a mysterious character whose presence adds depth to the increasingly complex world of Braves and Demon Lords. Kawasumi, known for numerous iconic roles across anime including Saber in the Fate series, brings seasoned talent to the series.
- Haruki Ishiya, who is known for roles like Akiteru in My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!, will portray Ido, another new figure whose arrival promises to shake up the dynamics between established characters.

What This Means for Scum of the Brave
The introduction of Levi and Ido comes as Scum of the Brave unfolds its narrative across what has been planned as a multi-cours broadcast with 24 episodes in total. Yay!
The series, which mixes supernatural elements with intense urban conflict, centers on the reluctant mentor Yashiro, the Grim Reaper, and the young apprentices he never wanted as they navigate a world beset by ether-enhanced threats.
Adding Kawasumi and Ido to the voice cast signals that fans can expect further character development, as well as likely new plot arcs that tap into these characters’ backstories and roles in the broader conflict.
The two new characters are due to first appear in this week’s episode of Scum of the Brave. Look out for them.
