Ruka dresses ‘casual cute’ in latest Rent-a-Girlfriend date visual
With anime Rent-a-Girlfriend, Season 4 on its way in July, it’s about time for a slew of promos to be released, so that fans don’t forget when the next season hits.
The latest, which came out earlier today then via the anime’s official X account, is the third in a planned series-of-4 date visuals featuring all four of the anime’s “best girls”.
Of course.
And today’s Rent-a-Girlfriend date visual features Ruka Sarashina — but this time a date visual with a “summer theme”, as we see the adorable Ruka, wearing a cute outfit of sleeveless top, shorts, and a ribboned straw hat smiling happily as she leans against a railing at a train station next to the ocean.
Ruka’s date visual follows on from those previously released for Chizuru, who is also at a train station but this time during cherry blossom season, and one for Mami at a local train station, holding an umbrella and admiring the hyacinths growing by the track.
That leaves the fourth visual, which is soon to be released, and will be a date visual for Sumi.

Rent-a-Girlfriend, Season 4 release details
The fourth season, just like the anime’s previous three, is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima (The Shiunji Family Children).
It has been published since mid-2017, with 40 physical volumes now out in print in Japanese — with 29 of those volumes currently available in English, and with Volume 30 due out next week. (Via Kodansha USA)
As for plot, although you likely know this if you are here reading about Season 4, it goes like this:
Meet Kazuya Kinoshita (20), a hopeless college student living in Tokyo. One day, his life takes a dramatic turn when he crosses paths with Chizuru Mizuhara, an unbelievably beautiful girl, but one with a secret…!?
A ‘real’ yet dazzling ‘rental’ love life begins now
Season 1 of the Rent-a-Girlfriend anime adaptation premiered in July, 2020, followed by Season 2 in July, 2022 and its third season ending on September 30, 2023.
So, yes, it has been over 18 months since we last had word of our favorite girls, and will be close on two years before Season 4 hits the airwaves. Yikes!
Kazuomi Koga (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible), who directed Seasons 1 and 2, is back to direct Season 4, alongside Mitsutaka Hirota (Days with My Stepsister) who’s back in charge of series composition, and Kanna Hirayama (Oshi no Ko) returning to design the characters.
The main voice cast is also back to reprise their roles.
Season 4 of Rent-a-Girlfriend premieres in July, and will run for two cours. Like always, it will stream internationally via Crunchyroll.
