Proud Swordsman Plot (Synopsis via Tencent)

Six thousand years later, the once-prosperous lineage of swordsmen had declined, with only the sword immortal Chao Qingqiu single-handedly supporting the current lineage of swordsmen to resist the twelve sages of the three teachings.

Li Fuyao, burdened with a deep-seated vendetta, made a living as a storyteller in a small town of a minor country. He journeyed to the Sword Mountain, the demon lands, and the Buddhist realm.

After avenging his grievances, he finally realized that the entire mortal world was ensnared in a colossal deception.

Why did the lineage of swordsmen begin to decline six thousand years ago? Why have the sages and sword immortals, both in the past six millennia and before, been unable to attain eternal life?

Why did Chao Qingqiu feign death and remain in the mortal world? What exactly is the lantern in the Buddhist realm? Is the dragon in the demon lands an extraterrestrial being? What lies beyond the heavens?
