Princess Chang-Ge character PV released
With less than a week to go before the long-awaited historical Chinese anime The Legend of Princess Chang-Ge premieres, it is time for the release of the donghua’s final two character PVs.
The first, Ashina Sun, the second of the two protagonists in the animated series, was released earlier today, with the main protagonist, Princess Chang-Ge coming out soon after.
As you might expect if you know anything about the story of Princess Chang-Ge, the donghua’s female protagonist is shown in her character PV vowing she will kill anyone who was involved in the deaths of her parents.
Including the Emperor of Qin.
The Legend of Princess Chang-Ge release information
The animated series, which is based on the popular online manhua and then the C-drama The Long Ballad, was first announced as in production, and being animated by studio Big Big Sun, in early 2021.
But it then took several years after that, and several production delays, before the Chinese donghua was finally ready for release.
With the way the animation has turned out, though, that delay may have been worth it as, man, the just released opening animation sequence makes this thing look utterly beautiful.
Meanwhile, the official release date for The Legend of Princess Chang-Ge is now set for this weekend, Sunday, February 23rd in China, with western viewers gaining access to its first episodes the day after on the 24th.
Several character PVs have also been released in recent weeks of supporting characters, with the final two for Ashina Sun and, now, Princess Chang-Ge hitting the Internet today.
