May I Ask for One Final Thing? drops Alflame Rare Vankish character video – Scarlet’s stalker gets a trailer

The prince of the Vankish kingdom shows off his annoying persistence in new character video
As a big fan of the ongoing anime May I Ask for One Final Thing? and its crazy characters, I’m thrilled to see over-the-top prince Alflame Rare Vankish getting his own character video today.
The very funny anime has released Alflame Rare Vankish’s character video as a way of introducing both the prince of the Vankish kingdom, and his voice actor Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner in Attack on Titan.
The flame-haired playboy, you will remember, first flew into the anime on his red dragon during last week’s Episode 4.
Of course, he was quickly backhanded by protagonist and kickass heroine Scarlet as soon as he asked her to marry him. And then she continued to show him what’s what when he refused to back down.
The problem is, Alflame is still so damned persistent as, even in the just released Episode 5 of May I Ask for One Final Thing? he was still whittering about wanting Scarlet as his own, even after she flung him a few hundred miles headfirst into a tree.
May I Ask for One Final Thing? production details
The fantasy anime premiered on Crunchyroll on October 4th, and is based on the light novel series written by Nana Otori, and illustrated by Otori and Satsuki.
The animated series is being directed by Kazuya Sakamoto (Kaginado), with Deko Akao (Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!) in charge of both series composition and scripts, and Eriko Haga as character designer.
The excellent animation is by LIDEN FILMS (Detectives These Days Are Crazy!).
Its plot, featuring one of this year’s coolest (and most aggressive) heroines, is explained in the first volume of the Japanese light novel series in this way:
In the middle of a ball, Scarlet el Vandimion is suddenly informed by the second prince, Kyle, that their engagement is off. What’s more, she is falsely accused of a crime, called a “villainous young lady,” and denounced by many nobles attending the prestigious event.
Scarlet, however, has been patient for far too long, but she has now had enough of putting up with the foolish Kyle!
So, at her wit’s end, she makes a request of the assembled crowd: “May I punch you all into oblivion one last time?”
Episode 5 of May I Ask for One Final Thing? is now streaming.
And, nope, it’s not just Alflame Rare Vankish who is an annoying but pretty cool thorn in Scarlet’s side, Prince Julius shows his true colors (or does he?) in this week’s episode as well.
