Kim You Jung to star in 100 Days of Lies from Extraordinary Attorney Woo director? Here’s what we know so far…

My Demon star Kim You Jung may be slated to star in a new drama from the director of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Yoo In Shik, and from the pen of Do You Like Brahms? writer Ryu Bo Ri.
Earlier today, Korean entertainment news was reporting the 25-year-old Kim You Jung will be one of the main leads in the new tvN drama 100 Days of Lies (working title).
In response to the reports Awesome ENT, the Korean actress’s agency, said the usual “100 Days of Lies is one of the projects Kim You Jung has been offered, and she is currently reviewing it”.
According to Newsen, 100 Days of Lies tells the story of a talented Gyeongseong pickpocket who becomes a spy for the Korean authorities during the Japanese annexation of Korea.
Now that’s a departure from many of her usual roles, isn’t it? And an intriguing one, too.
Personally, I would love to see Kim Young Jung in a role like this as, while she has been brilliant in the romantic roles she has played, this one sounds like it would stretch her already superb acting abilities even more.
Kim You Jung’s career up until now
The actress and model, of course, is most recently known for starring as Do Do Hee in the hit drama My Demon alongside Song Kang.
But she has been acting since the incredibly young age of just 4-years-old.
In addition to My Demon, she has starred in popular Kdramas like Lovers of the Red Sky, Backstreet Rookie, Clean with Passion for Now, Love in the Moonlight and Love Cells (Season 1 and 2), and in the youth melodrama movie 20th Century Girl.
She was also the very popular host of the SBS music show Inkigayo from 2014 to 2016, starting when she was just 15-years-old.
Kim You Jung is currently filming the upcoming psychological thriller Kdrama Dear X with Kim Young Dae, Kim Do Hoon, and Lee Yeol Eum.
That Korean drama is due to premiere on TVING in 2025.
