K-drama Crash Ep 7 rating rises again to new all-time high

The Korean crime comedy drama Crash, Episode 7 aired last night in South Korea, and grabbed its highest rating of the series so far — both with audiences nationwide and in Seoul.
Those Crash, Episode 7 ratings were a jump from Episode 6’s previous all-time high of 5.03 percent nationwide to last night’s 5.07 percent.
Sure, it’s only a small jump for the ENA K-drama, but it’s a jump nevertheless, as well as a very nice increased rating compared to that of its first episode — 2.23 percent — back on .
Meanwhile, the ratings from Seoul viewers increased slightly more — from last week’s 5.26 percent to last night’s 5.38 percent.
Those ratings also made Crash the #1 most-watched drama on Monday.
What ratings are international viewers awarding Crash?
Users of the most famous K-drama-themed site are currently awarding the Korean crime drama a solid 8.0 out of 10, with anything at an 8.0 or above a high rating for users of that site, and with several users commenting how “underrated” Crash and its main cast are when it comes to the quality of the production.
Over on IMDB, users are rating Crash a low 7.6 out of 10.
Then again, using IMDB as an indicator of how good or bad a TV show may be is a poor decision, as the site has a history of being targeted by trolls determined to take down the rating of a Korean drama due to something in it “offending” a certain group of people.
Look at the rating for King the Land — still at 5.1 out of 10.0 but, at one point was as low as 1.50 after a group of trolls attacked the site because a character who appeared in two episodes “offended” their culture.
What’s odd about that, too, is that the IMDB rating has zero impact on the popularity of a Korean drama, or on if a similar K-drama will be produced again.
In other words, the trolls are wasting their time. But… I digress.
Crash stars Lee Min Ki, Kwak Sun Young, Heo Sung Tae, Lee Ho Chul, and Moon Hee, and airs on ENA every Monday and Tuesday evening at 22:00 (KST).
Disney+ and Hulu stream the Korean drama for their international subscribers.
Personally, I am thrilled to see its rating continue to rise, as it has been one of the more entertaining K-dramas of the current season.
So, let’s see how it does tonight then, eh?
