Jin Ki Joo signs with Zo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun’s new agency Basecamp Company — they partnered with a big one, eh?

We reported last week that Korean actors Zo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun had left their agencies and founded a new one – Basecamp Company.
Now it turns out, not only was the planning of a self-owned agency in the works for quite a while, the two actors are already working on persuading other actors to leave their own agencies and be signed with theirs.
Case in point, superstar Korean drama actor Jin Ki Joo (Undercover High School) who has just been announced by Basecamp Company as their first client.
In the official announcement of their first client signing, Basecamp Company commented:
We are delighted to welcome Jin Ki Joo, an actress who has proven her acting skills across various projects and earned steady love from the public. We will fully support her endeavors going forward.
They also added:
Please show lots of interest and anticipation for Jin Ki Joo’s future activities.
Jin Ki Joo’s spectacular career so far
When it comes to first signers, Basecamp Company couldn’t have chosen a better one, could they?
Not only is Jin Ki Joo currently one of the most sought after and most talented actresses in South Korea, she has also starred in a huge number of hit dramas over the last few years.
So much so, she seems to be almost genius at choosing the projects she will work on next.
Look at her history in just the last five years — main roles in Homemade Love Story, From Now on, Showtime!, My Perfect Stranger, Uncle Samsik, and Undercover High School — along with a guest role on Sh**ting Stars.
All dramas that were huge hits, and with roles played by Jin Ki Joo that seemed almost iconic.
In 2025, she is also starring in the upcoming Netflix original series True Lessons alongside Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Sung Min, and Block B member P.O.
That likely means we can expect True Lessons to be a big hit as well, eh?

Meanwhile, 2025 is the 10th anniversary of Jin Ki Joo’s acting debut (support role in Twenty Again). Just 10 years, and she has already achieved all that.
Yep. It appears Basecamp Company is determined to represent the brightest and the best. (Well, it is headed by fellow superstar actors Zo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun!).
And more power to ’em if they can.
