Shin’s Project, Season 2 could be in the works soon
While fans of the superb black comedy drama Shin’s Project may be feeling a sense of loss since it aired its final episode last night, it appears there may not be any need.
That’s because it seems there is a very good chance a Shin’s Project, Season 2 will be heading our way.
At least, according to the production team of the Korean drama who, via Korean news media, are already discussing a second season of the hit tvN drama.
No surprise, eh? Especially as so many Korean viewers are now requesting one.

Shin’s Project‘s increasing ratings
Of course, for anyone who kept a close eye on the ratings as the Korean drama dropped new episodes, it became obvious very quickly tvN had a hit on its hands.
After all, right from the first episode of Shin’s Project, the K-drama was already the most-watched tvN Monday/Tuesday drama of 2025 for its premiere episode.
That success only continued to increase as, after starting out with a nationwide rating of 5.92 percent for Episode 1, by Episode 2 the South Korean drama saw its ratings skyrocket to 7.40 percent.
Other than Episode 7, which weirdly saw a drop to an all-time low rating of 5.50 percent, those ratings then continued to steadily increase, with Episode 11 eventually earning an all-time high of 9.12 percent this Monday night.
The Korean drama also performed just as well throughout its run with viewers in Seoul.

The hint that Shin’s Project, Season 2 is coming
Of course, along with the Korean news media reports, the big hint that Shin’s Project, Season 2 is likely a done deal was the mention in last night’s series finale of a ‘Mr. Shin’s Project TF Team’ being formed.
Now, why would the writers/producers of the tvN drama bother mentioning that if we viewers were not going to be able to see the team in action, right?
Of course, it does depend on whether the main trio of actors — Han Suk Kyu, Bae Hyun Sung, and Lee Re — are available to film at the same time.
But, plan a Season 2 well ahead of time, and that shouldn’t be much of a problem, should it?
Especially as, from their fabulous performances in the Korean drama, it’s pretty obvious they all had a heckuva lot of fun filming Season 1.
In other words, if Shin’s Project, Season 2 isn’t announced pretty soon, I swear I will stop watching Korean dramas for a month. I am that sure this one is already in the works.
Can we please watch Shin’s Project, Season 2 legally?
Now let’s just hope tvN is not only able to find a legal streaming service for its already-ended first season (not gonna lie, I watched it on a dodgy website as it’s not available legally where I live), but also to cement that service for Season 2.
After all, Shin’s Project is such a gem in Korean entertainment, it should have been made far easier to watch for international viewers as well as those in South Korea.
Meanwhile, we will scour the Internet here at Baozi Buns as more information drops about an upcoming Season 2, and let you know when the big announcement is eventually made. Count on it!
