While it received only average ratings on platforms like My Anime List (where it received a low 6.28 out of 10 for its first season), and TMDB (7.0 out of 10), it has still earned a dedicated fandom.

Lin Beichen, as the reincarnated amalgamation of the Sacred Emperor and the benevolent aspect of the Extreme Yin Sovereign, is transported from Earth to the Cloud Dream City in the Windwhisper Province of the North Sea Empire in the Eastern Dao True Continent due to a smartphone created by a cosmic power.
Once there, he becomes the legitimate son of Lin Jinnan, one of the empire’s top ten renowned generals, known as the “War Heaven Marquis.” Unfortunately, his predecessor was a notorious wastrel and playboy, infamous throughout the city, and born with a brain defect.
Lin Beichen resents the transmigration, however, and is determined to return to Earth. But, as he gradually and unconsciously integrates into this new world, he begins to identify with the nation he now belongs to.
When the North Sea Empire faces the crisis of national collapse, and when its people are on the brink of being enslaved, Lin Beichen joins his friends in confronting the national calamity.
