Now, this is what I like to see.
One season of an anime ending and another season on its way within just two or three months.
Such is the case of the popular isekai series Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing, which only aired its season finale last Saturday, March 28th and already has its Season 2 premiere date set — July, 2026 — only three months away.
That premiere schedule was announced this weekend along with another key visual, a new teaser trailer and one more voice actor named to the cast.

Hell Mode, Season 2 key visual
The new Season 2 visual has Hell Mode protagonist Allen clashing swords with new character, A-rank magician and hero Helmios, whose voice actor Takahiro Sakurai (Suguru Getou in Jujutsu Kaisen), was also announced.
Helmios’ character design was released via the anime’s official X account.

New Hell Mode, Season 2 teaser trailer
In the new teaser trailer for Season 2, we get a quick look at hero Hermios who was briefly mentioned at the end of Season 1 and is, apparently, “the hope of humanity”, as Allen leaves the service of House Granvelle and sets off with Cecil, Krena and Dogora to attend the Academy in Academy City.
Once there, we also learn he and Cecil are asked to participate in the school martial arts tournament, while Allen must also act as Cecil’s bodyguard.
And yep, as you would expect, Allen plans to give it his all, as getting even stronger is his main goal in life.
Hell Mode, Season 2 production details
The Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing anime series is based on the light novels written by Hamuo, and illustrated by Mo.
The novels are published in English via Yen Press, with the 10th volume scheduled to drop be released in May.
Yen Press describes the Hell Mode plot like this:
“‘Level up even while offline’?! That’s not a game on ‘easy mode’—that’s just an AFK game!”
The online game Yamada Kenichi had been playing religiously is shutting down its servers, leaving him with a void in his heart. He looks for a new game to fill it, but everything he finds is way too easy. The kind of game he likes—the kind punishing enough to make players want to spend thousands of hours on it—just isn’t around anymore. “What’s this? ‘You are invited to a game that willnever end.’”
Kenichi stumbles upon an untitled game, one promising incomparable challenge with unprecedented potential. Without hesitation, he selects the “Hell Mode” difficulty. Lo and behold, he finds himself reincarnated in another world as a serf!
Now called Allen, he sets out to unlock the secrets of his mystery-laden Summoner class; without the convenience of walkthroughs, game guides, or online forums, he must grope his way to the top of his new world!
Makoto Tamagawa (The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt) is directing the Hell Mode anime adaptation, with Daishiro Tanimura (scripts for Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho) in charge of series composition, and Kei Tsushima (Legend of the Galactic Heroes) designing the characters.
Yokohama Animation Lab (The Witch and the Beast) is animating the series.
Season 1 of the isekai anime is being streamed on HIDIVE. No announcement has been made who will license Season 2, but it’s also likely to be HIDIVE. We’ll keep you in the loop here at Baozi Buns as more information drops.
