Buried Hearts, Episode 16 should wrap up every loose thread
South Korean broadcaster SBS has announced the series finale of their ongoing Friday/Saturday evening drama — Buried Hearts, Episode 16 – will not only be extended to a running time of 80 minutes later on tonight, but it will also begin airing at an earlier time than usual.
That earlier start time is only by 5 minutes — 9:45 pm.(KST) instead of 9:50 pm (KST) — but, if you are in South Korea, you wouldn’t want to miss it, eh?
It also means Buried Hearts, Episode 16 will now have a running time of 80 minutes in total, rather than its usual 70 minutes.
The production team also commented about the extended ending:
The finale is expected to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, delivering intense story bombshells until the very end.
In other words, SBS has probably realized the screenwriter needed an extra few minutes to wrap up all the loose ends of what has been one of the best Korean dramas of 2025 in such a way that viewers will be happy with the result.
Of course, for those who watch Buried Hearts on Disney+ that earlier start time doesn’t have much of an impact as you can watch it whenever.

Meanwhile, with Buried Hearts, Episode 15 airing last night to not only extremely high ratings, but also grabbing the mantle of the #1 show for all of Friday, it appears the Korean drama’s series finale later on tonight will probably go out with record viewership as well.
Something that, to anyone who has watched the previous 15 episodes, is not likely to be a shock.
Not when you consider the high-caliber of the scripts, the twists and turns of the plot that have kept us all on the edges of our seats right from Episode 1, and the superb performances from both the drama’s leads and its supporting cast.
Check out Buried Hearts, Episode 16 on Disney+ tonight then.
After all, you can probably guarantee, what with the extra 10 minutes of running time, you will be happy with how it ultimately ends.
