The adorable Fabulous Beasts twins Pixiu and his brother Bixie celebrate their birthdays today
A cute new Fabulous Beasts visual has been released to wish a Happy Birthday to Pixiu (also known as Tianlu or “Pipi”) and, of course, to his twin brother, Bixie, who often remains hiding.
The lovely visual was released on the Chinese donghua’s Weibo account earlier today in honor of Pippi’s birthday celebration — which is today, April 5th.
Pixiu and his brother Bixie are, of course, mythic beasts who love to eat jewels, gold and other precious treasures. Although, Pixiu seems to be much greedier than his older brother.
Where to watch Fabulous Beasts?
Pixiu is also, along with Sibuxiang, one of the protagonists of the absolutely fabulous Fabulous Beasts animated series, which you can currently watch via Made by Bilibili’s – Donghua YouTube channel.
It is a beautifully-designed and animated (and very funny) Chinese anime that follows a group of mythological beasts as they make their way in the modern world, and as it tells sweet, touching and morals-teaching stories.
Fabulous Beasts (aka You Shou Yan) is animated by Chinese animation studio Fenz, who has done a consistently superb job over four seasons now.
If you haven’t watched the superb Chinese donghua yet, all 48 episodes (ie: four seasons) are free-to-watch on YouTube via this playlist.
Let some of the ads run, though, as Bilibili deserves some payment for offering these wonderful things for free.
