A Record of a Mortal’s Journey hits 3.2 billion views: Donghua earns 100 million in a month

A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality celebrates another 100 million views in a month
It was at the beginning of this month when the Chinese anime A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality was named by Bilibili as having earned 3.1 billion views since it premiered in July, 2020.
And now, less than a month later, and it has been announced A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality donghua has now hit 3.2 billion views.
Yep, the popular Chinese anime has apparently earned another 100 million views since the beginning of February alone.
Pretty cool, eh?
Along with the announcement of the 3.2 billion views on Wonder Cat Animation’s official Weibo account, the Chinese animation studio also released a celebratory visual (see above) featuring the donghua’s protagonist Han Li.
A fan-centric message was also published:
#ARecordOfAMortalsJourneyTo Immortality — The animation has surpassed 3.2 billion views!
With unwavering determination, we break through barriers, and burn through countless obstacles like flames.
On the long road ahead, no matter the storms or thorns, we are willing to journey together with our fellow cultivators.
The latest episodes of the historical martial arts donghua
The ongoing fourth season of A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality (aks Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan) premiered back in January, and is currently scheduled to run for 52 episodes.
It is being animated by Wonder Cat Animation and Original Force Studios, with Episode 130 the latest episode to release this week, and Episode 131 due out on Monday, March 3rd.

Meanwhile, every episode of the hit Chinese anime right from its first episode can also be watched via the Made by Bilibili YouTube channel via this playlist and, yes, without a subscription needed.
An English dubbed version of the donghua also premiered late last year via YOY Animation but, surprisingly, it has not been particularly successful.
At least not on YouTube where most English dubbed episodes are struggling to earn more than a couple of thousand views.
Considering the donghua is in the Top 10 Chinese animated series of all-time, I would have expected it to perform much better.
Especially among that segment of the donghua fandom who complain about Chinese-language soundtracks.
