Unveil: Jadewind premieres this week
The long-awaited Bai Lu and Wang Xing Yue-led historical mystery thriller Unveil: Jadewind finally has its premiere date and, as you’d expect if you know anything about C-dramas, it’s this week.
On Thursday, February 5th to be exact, with the Chinese drama not only streaming on YOUKU, but also available on Netflix in select regions. (It’s streaming on YOUKU in the United States).
The Unveil: Jadewind premiere date was confirmed this morning via YOUKU’s social media accounts, with the streaming platform releasing a new official poster for the Chinese drama featuring its two leads.
They also reminded Chinese viewers the drama would be premiering on CCTV for TV viewers, while online viewers can watch it on YOUKU.
A quick look at Unveil: Jadewind‘s plot
The drama is adapted from the novel 唐宫奇案之血玉韘 (aka The Blood Jade Ring: A Mysterious Case in the Tang Palace) which is written by Sen Lin Lu.
The story follows Li Pei Yi (played by Bai Lu), an Inner Court Bureau investigator, and the Astronomy Bureau’s Xiao Huai Jin (Wang Xing Yue) as they investigate strange cases in the Tang Dynasty court.

Li Pei Yi is known for her ability to read people and her superb sword skills, while Xiao Huai Jin sees or hears something once and never forgets it.
The pair work together on a number of cases, growing closer as they do, until, as each case is solved, they find themselves closer to the truth about what happened to the Li family fifteen years ago.
Thus, giving Li Pei Yi an opportunity to clear her father’s name.
Unveil: Jadewind not only stars Bai Lu and Wang Xing Yue, a pairing many C-drama fans (including myself) are ecstatic over, but also features Annabel Yao (Uncle), Zhao Qing (The Immortal Ascension), Zhao Yi Qin (Glory), Zhang Wei Na (Blood River), Dai Lu Wa (Youthful Glory), Li Xin Ze (When Destiny Brings the Demon), and He Zhong Hua (Fight for Love).
This should be a good one!
