Would You Marry Me Ep 5 has BIG ratings rise for new personal best – in Top 10 in 9 countries on Disney+

The ongoing SBS romantic comedy Would You Marry Me, Episode 5 aired on Friday night to a big ratings rise, after it dropped to an all-time low for its previous episode.
According to data via Nielsen Korea, Would You Marry Me, Episode 5 earned 7.5 percent of the audience share, which is an almost 2.0 percent increase from Episode 4’s 5.6 percent from last week.
The Korean drama also saw an even better rating from viewers in Seoul where it jumped from Episode 5’s audience share of 6.0 percent to last night’s showing of 7.8 percent.
Those ratings are also new personal bests for the Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min-led drama, which started out on October 10th with its first episode garnering 5.6 percent nationwide and 6.1 percent in Seoul.
International viewers’ ratings for Would You Marry Me
Meanwhile, the K-drama is earning an 8.0 out of 10 from users of My Drama List, a website known for its low-ish ratings and troll attacks on drama ratings.
That rating, however, is a little better than the stupidly low rating of 7.7 out of 10 Would You Marry Me started out at on the site when it launched.
Comments from users, however, are very positive and prove the show is likely earning a much higher rating from those actually watching it.
They range from people commenting on the overall atmosphere of the K-drama:
So far this is the only K drama, in a while, that has kept me entertained past ep 4. It’s fun, of course not without its cliches, but still pretty enjoyable. Woo Ju’s family even the grandma (less than the others still) are hard to root for.
to those who, while admitting it is riddled with cliches, still think it is done in a new way:
Loving everything about this show! Tropes, cringe moments, all of it. Something just feels fresh and super cute!
and people even loving the second male and female leads as much as the main leads:
Rooting for ML and FL. But I am intrigued with the 2ML and 2FL possible romance as I think they both need each other as well. All of them are extremely attractive leads.
Meanwhile, IMDB users are also rating the K-drama an 8.0 out of 10, while Flix Patrol is reporting Would You Marry Me is now ranking in the Top 10 on Disney+ in 9 countries.
I’d say the K-drama is doing pretty well so far, wouldn’t you?
