PLOT
Amidst the turmoil in the martial world, a lone journey unfolds in the shadows of Dark River — the tales of the young never cease. The Grandmaster (the supreme leader) of Dark River, the foremost assassin organization, is in critical condition.
The heads of its three families, vying for succession, have each dispatched assassins to eliminate him, igniting a race against time that will determine life, death, and the future of the assassin order.
Su Mu Yu (played by Gong Jun), known as “Puppet,” the leader of the Spider Shadow Guard loyal directly to the Grandmaster, is forcibly drawn into the struggle for leadership.
As he and his close friend stand by their conflicting convictions, they are compelled to draw their swords against each other.
