New MBC drama earns higher ratings than its predecessor
Undercover High School, Episode 1 premiered on MBC last night to solid ratings, both nationwide and in Seoul. Especially considering it was airing against the new SBS drama Buried Hearts.
The comedy spy drama grabbed 5.6 percent of the nationwide audience share.
A rating that is higher than the solid 4.5 percent nationwide audience share earned by its predecessor Motel California with its first episode in January, so a very good start for the new comedy drama.
Ratings in Seoul were also very solid, with Undercover High School, Episode 1 earning an even higher 5.8 percent of the viewership.

The first ratings have also been posted to My Drama List, where almost 300 users are currently rating the SBS drama a very solid 8.3 out of 10 after Episode 1 aired.
Preliminary comments too are pointing out how well-written, well-acted, funny and entertaining the first episode of the Korean drama was, and with some begging for Episode 2 to release faster.
Ratings are not currently available from Viki, where Undercover High School is now streaming, but the 20 people that have rated the K-drama via IMDB so far are giving it a very high average rating of 8.9 out of 10.
In other words, a very promising beginning for the latest MBC Friday-Saturday drama.
Undercover High School (titled 언더커버하이스쿨 in Korea) stars Seo Kang Joon, Jin Ki Joo, and Kim Shin Rok.
The comedy K-drama is directed by Choi Jung In, who recently did a superb job with the very successful Knight Flower.
The Korean drama airs on MBC in South Korea every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 (KST), with its second episode premiering this evening.
