The MBC TV mystery crime thriller Black Out, Episode 14 (known as Snow White Must Die in South Korea) ended the show’s run last night with a bang, as it grabbed the Korean drama’s highest ever ratings.
According to the recently released information via Nielsen Korea, Black Out, Episode 14 garnered 8.8 percent of the nationwide audience share, which is a 0.2 percent increase over Episode 13’s already high rating of 8.6 percent.
It is also over three times higher than the 2.8 percent rating Black Out earned for its first episode. So there’s that.
Audiences in Seoul also seemed to want to give the MBC drama a nice send off, as it earned a solid 8.2 percent in that area as well.
All of them excellent ratings, as Black Out was also competing against the massively popular The Judge From Hell in the same time slot, and still ended up the #3 most-watched TV show for all of Friday.
International ratings for Black Out as Kdrama ends
Along with the excellent viewership in South Korea, Black Out also ended its run with extremely high ratings from international viewers.
Users of My Drama List, who can be notoriously stingy with their ratings, are currently awarding the Korean drama a very high (for that site) 8.5 out of 10.
Black Out is also earning the same solid 8.5 out of 10 from users of IMDB.
The Korean drama stars Byun Yo Han, Ko Jun, Go Bo Gyeol, and Kim Bo Ra, and ran on MBC in South Korea from August 16th, to October 4th, 2024.
You can watch every episode now on Hulu. And yes, Hulu is airing the drama in 16 episodes instead of the 14 that is aired in South Korea. Don’t ask me why.
