The new KBS2 Monday-Tuesday K-drama Love Song for Illusion, Episode 1 premiered last night to a very solid rating.
According to Nielsen Korea, Love Song for Illusion, Episode 1 earned 4.3 percent of the nationwide audience.
That is just about the same rating as The Matchmakers, the drama that aired in the same time slot, earned for its first episode (4.3 percent). So it appears the new historical drama is getting off to a good start.
International viewers and Love Song for Illusion ratings
With just one episode of the historical romance drama out, international viewers are also already awarding it very solid ratings.
Users of My Drama List are currently rating Love Song for Illusion with an 8.2 out of 10 (anything above an 8 is a high rating for users of the site).
Meanwhile on IMDB, while only a small sample of seven people so far, users are rating the Korean drama a very high 9.4 out of 10.
And on Viki, where the historical drama is now streaming for international viewers, they are also rating the K-drama a 9.4 out of 10.

Love Song for Illusion stars the excellent cast of Park Ji Hoon, Hong Ye Ji, Hwang Hee, and Ji Woo.
The K-drama will air every Monday and Tuesday on KBS2 in South Korea, with Viki streaming it internationally, and with the next episode due out on January 8th, 2024.
And yes, it is a two-episode a week drama. We just got one episode this week due to Monday being New Year’s Day.
