I must admit, when it comes to Korean female leads, there is a soft spot in my heart for Park Min Young.
Not only was she one of the first Korean actresses I watched when I got back into K-dramas a few years ago with her starring role in Her Private Life and then What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?, she has always seemed to me to be an actress who perfectly embodies the characters she plays,
So to see Park Min Young’s latest drama Marry My Husband, Episode 2 ratings increase last night after the K-drama’s first episode aired on January 1st makes me happy.
Those ratings, according to Nielsen Korea, were 5.89 percent nationwide, which is a nice increase from the first episode’s 5.21 percent.
In other words, with the nicely increasing ratings and the current ratings from international viewers (see below) looking promising, Marry My Husband may just become another smash hit for the popular actress.
Fingers crossed.

Marry My Husband is also being given solid ratings so far by international viewers using various websites.
On My Drama List, the Korean rom-com is currently rated an 8.4 out of 10, which is a high rating from users of that site who are often critical of the dramas they watch.
Users of IMDB are rating the drama even higher, with a very high rating of 9.4 out of 10 from 50 users so far.
Marry My Husband is based on a web novel and webtoon of the same name, and tells the story of Kang Ji Won (played by Park Min Young) who is married to Park Min Hwan (Lee Yi Kyung), a selfish unemployed man for whom she is basically a domestic slave.
After Ji Won discovers Min Hwan is having an affair with her so-called friend Jung Soo Min (Song Ha Yoon), she is then killed by her husband.
Life doesn’t end for Ji Won, however, as she finds herself waking up 10 years earlier.
Now, with a chance to create a better life for herself, she decides to help Soo Min marry Min Hwan instead of herself.
Now that’s a great way to dole out some much needed karma, eh?
Marry My Husband airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 20:50 (KST), with its next episode airing on January 8th.
The K-drama is streaming on Amazon Prime Video outside South Korea in most international regions.
