Welcome to Samdal-ri Ep 2 increases in ratings – in Top 10 in 25 countries on Netflix

The new JTBC drama Welcome to Samdal-ri, Episode 2 aired in South Korea last night to a slight increase in ratings, which is almost always a good sign as many Korean dramas see a fall in ratings for their second episodes as some viewers decide the drama isn’t for them.
Not so for Welcome to Samdal-ri, which saw an increase for its second episode rating from Episode 1’s 5.19 percent to last night’s 5.27 percent of the audience share.
In Seoul, Welcome to Samdal-ri, Episode 2 also had a slight ratings increase, earning 5.55 percent, which was an increase from Episode 1’s 5.28 percent.
Both ratings placed the romantic comedy drama in the #1 spot in its time slot in both regions.
In other words, the 16-episode drama is already off to a great start in South Korea.

According to FlixPatrol, Welcome to Samdal-ri is currently in the Top 10 in 25 countries, including Thailand, Lebanon, Kenya, Nigeria, Oman, Canada, Greece, Jordan, Vietnam and Portugal.
The latest official data on the Top 10 Most Watched Non-English TV Shows will be released by Netflix tomorrow.
My guess is Welcome to Samdal-ri will be on it.

Welcome to Samdal-ri stars the wonderful cast of Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye-sun, Kim Mi Kyung, Seo Hyun Chul, Shin Dong Mi, Kang Mi Na, Kim Do Eun, Yu Oh Seong, Kang Young Seok and Yang Kyung Won.
The Korean drama tells the story of childhood friends Jo Yong Pil (played by Ji Chang Wook) who became a weather forecaster after his mother was killed due to an incorrect forecast, and Jo Sam Dal (Shin Hye Sun), a photographer who returns to her home town after her life in Seoul falls apart.
The Korean drama airs on JTBC every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST), and on Netflix for international audiences.
