My Dearest Ep21 ends K-drama with HIGHEST ratings of series – cast and crew must be thrilled

100-minute My Dearest, Episode 21 ended the K-drama #1 in its time slot
On Saturday, the most-competitive day for dramas in Korea, My Dearest Episode 21 earned its highest ratings ever, ending the superb historical drama on a massive high note.
Not only its highest ratings for Part 2 of the K-drama, I might point out, but also its highest rating for all 21 episodes that have aired since the drama premiered on August 4th with Episode 1.
The numbers via Nielsen Korea show My Dearest, Episode 21 earned 12.9 percent of the audience share nationwide in South Korea.
That’s an increase from the MBC drama’s second-highest ever rating of 12.4 percent for Episode 20.
In Seoul, the historical drama earned a similar percentage of the audience grabbing a 12.7 percent rating, which is an increase from its previous episode’s already high 12.5 percent.
Surprisingly though, while My Dearest, Episode 21 ended its series run with a huge rating, it was not the #1 most-watched show on TV in South Korea on Saturday.
That top spot went to the Uee-led K-drama Live Your Own Life, which pipped My Dearest to the post with a 14.5 percent rating nationwide.
My Dearest was the #1 most-watched show in its time slot, however. By a mile.
In other words, the My Dearest cast and crew must be thrilled to end that absolutely superb in every way 21-episode epic drama on such a high note, eh?
Where to watch every episode of My Dearest
Just in case you are one of the few K-drama fans who have not yet begun watching My Dearest, if you are in South Korea you can watch all 21 episodes now via Wavve.
Outside South Korea, Viki is streaming the drama for international audiences. Audiences, by the way, that are rating the historical drama a massively high 9.7 out of 10.
My Dearest stars the phenomenal cast of Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin in the main lead roles, alongside, Lee Hak Joo, Lee Da In, Kim Yun Woo, and Lee Chung Ah.
It is easily one of the best Korean dramas of 2023.
