3 Sentenced to Be a Hero cast members named along with their characters’ designs released

While we still have a fair wait before the action adventure anime Sentenced to Be a Hero premieres, after it was delayed earlier this year, promotional information is still dropping fairly often to keep the excitement ramped up.
That includes today’s announcement of three new voice actors joining the Sentenced to Be a Hero cast. All of whom are heavy hitters in the Japanese voice acting world.
They are:
- Youji Ueda (Eisen in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) who voices Norgalle Senridge
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Rio in Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles) who plays Tatsuya
- Jun Fukushima (Kazuma in Konosuba) who voices Tsav

Character visuals were also released via the anime’s X account for each character.

For Norgalle Senridge, they explain:
A terrorist who believes himself to be the true king of the United Kingdom, and carried out a large-scale terrorist attack on the royal family. Known as “His Majesty.” He displays an arrogant attitude, but his concern for the people is genuine.
He possesses exceptional talent in holy seal tuning, the process of engraving holy seals.
while for Tatsuya, he is:
A berserker who has been part of the Hero Squad longer than anyone else. Having been revived as a hero too many times, he has lost his sense of self and cognitive abilities, unable to speak.
His true identity and everything about him are shrouded in mystery. His close-combat skills are monstrous, wielding a giant battle axe as effortlessly as a kitchen knife.
and for Tsav, he is described as:
A former elite assassin raised by an assassination cult. Possesses supernatural-level sniping skills, but during his assassin days, he couldn’t bring himself to kill his targets due to forming attachments, instead turning unrelated people into “mincemeat” to cover it up.
Has a carefree attitude, loves to chatter, and is crazy about gambling.
Production details for Sentenced to Be a Hero
The upcoming anime is based on the light novel series Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004.
It is being directed by Hiroyuki Takashima (Shinkiro), with Kenta Ihara (Blue Miburo) in charge of scripts and series composition, and Takeru Noda (Dandadan) designing the characters.
Studio Kai (Super Cub) is animating the series.
