2nd You and I Are Polar Opposites trailer has Tani wondering why he’s so obsessed with Suzuki
The utterly cute looking school-themed rom-com anime You and I Are Polar Opposites has dropped a second trailer that proves, once and for all, opposites most definitely attract.
Unlike the anime’s first trailer, which is shot from Suzuki’s perspective, this second trailer is shot from Yuusuke Tani’s viewpoint as he wonders why his loud, crazy and very popular high school classmate Miyu Suzuki talks to him all the time.
On top of that, after spending more time with her, the very quiet and calm Tani is now wondering why he thinks about Suzuki all the time, and why he has become greedy when it comes to wanting to see her even more.
No worries, though, as it appears Suzuki feels exactly the same way.
You and I Are Polar Opposites supporting characters and their voice actors also introduced
The new You and I Are Polar Opposites not only proves Suzuki is absolutely crazy, but apparently so are many of the people in their class, as the trailer also introduces the quirky characters and their superb voice actors.
They are (in order of appearance in the trailer):
- Sayumi Suzushiro (Iroha in My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!) is voicing Miyu Suzuki
- Shougi Sakata (Zenos in The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows) as Yuusuke Tani
- Wataru Katou (Julius in May I Ask for One Final Thing?) plays Shuuji Taira
- Konatsu Hirabayashi in her VA debut is voicing Aoi Satou
- Yuna Taniguchi (Sano in Call of the Night 2) plays Manami Watanabe
- Miyuri Shimabukuro (Fiorenza in Welcome to the Outcast’s Restaurant!) voices Shino Azuma
- Tomori Kusunoki (Makima in Chainsaw Man) is Rikako Honda
- Cocoro Oomori (Virgo in A Wild Last Boss Appeared!) as Natsumi Nishi
- Anji Iwata (Aida in Call of the Night 2) is playing Kentarou Yamada
The trailer also gives us a quick listen of the fun opening theme song ‘Megane wo Hazushite‘ (aka ‘Take off Your Glasses‘), which is performed by J-pop singer and voice actor Noa.
You and I Are Polar Opposites release details
The anime is based on the Kocha Agasawa–written manga series, and yes the manga has the same bold and very cool art style of its anime adaptation.
It is directed by Takakazu Nagatomo (Wave, Listen to Me!), with Teruko Utsumi (Sarazanmai) in charge of series composition, while also producing the anime.

Mako Miyako is the rom-com anime’s character designer, and Studio Lapin Track, who also animated Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary, is in charge of animation production.
You and I Are Polar Opposites is scheduled to release its first episodes on January 11th in Japan, with Crunchyroll also streaming it internationally.
