Yonosuke Sakai’s high school life is about to get complicated
The new rom com anime You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! has a trailer out and, man, oh man, oh man, or should I say girl, oh girl, oh girl, this one looks hilarious.
You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! is based on the Japanese manga series 幼馴染とはラブコメにならない, written and illustrated by Shinya Misu.
It follows high school student Yonosuke Sakai who suddenly realizes Shio and Akari, the girls he has been friends with since childhood, are now all grown up, and have become incredibly cute.
But, while Yonosuke tries to hide his suddenly emerging feelings from his friends, it turns out they might also be having similar feelings themselves.
And, as you’ll see in the just-dropped You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! trailer, they might not be the only girls who feel that way either.
Well, it is a harem anime, after all.
The new trailer also gives us a quick snippet of the anime’s ending theme song ‘Amanojaku‘ by Hikari Kodama.
New You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! key visual features Yonosuke and all his girls
Dropping along with the hilarious trailer, we also got an equally cute key visual of Yonosuke and his girls — from front to back, left to right, Akari and Shio, and Haru and Runa.
All the girls are flashing heart signs while Yonosuke, in the background, looks aghast at their aggressiveness.
