Why are The Misfit of Demon King Academy II, Episodes 22, 23 and 24 delayed? When will they air

Apparently, Japanese anime studios have decided they can no longer blame Covid for their own production problems after three years of doing so, as yet more anime episodes have been delayed in the last couple of months.
Case in point, animation studio Silver Link has just announced The Misfit of Demon King Academy II, Part 2 Episodes 22, 23 and 24 will be delayed.
No reason was given for The Misfit of Demon King Academy II delay, however, (Covid is no longer a thing you see), just a notice on the anime’s official website saying:
“We have decided to change the broadcast date and time of Episode 22, which was due to air on Friday, June 21st.”
followed by delay announcements for Episodes 23 and 24 as well.
Instead of Episode 22 airing, they also announced an audio commentary version of episode 19 featuring voice actors Umehara Yuichiro, Terashima Takuma, and Hieda Nene will air on June 21st in its place.
Yep, I’m sure fans are desperate to listen to that.
When will The Misfit of Demon King Academy II, Episodes 22, 23 and 24 air?
At the moment, Episode 22 is set to air on June 28th, with Episode 23 arriving on July 3rd.
No decision has yet been made for Episode 24, and that unfortunately means it may arrive in the next month. Then again, it may not.
Something that is incredibly annoying for fans who have already sat through 21 episodes of the fantasy drama, and just want to see how it ends.
Silver Link is the King of Delays
Then again, this is nothing new for Silver Link as, back in early 2020, they managed to delay the premiere of the first season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy for five months “due to Covid”, while many other Japanese studios were getting their episodes out on time or not long after.
Then in February, 2023, long after the rest of the world had moved on from Covid, Silver Link was still postponing anime episodes for weeks if not months, and still blaming “Covid” for their production problems.
So much so, every single anime they were working on at that time had episodes delayed due to “Covid”.
That included Part I of The Misfit of Demon King Academy II, which, unbelievably, had episodes delayed for five months soon after the season began airing.
In other words, if you want to watch any Silver Link anime nowadays you must either resign yourself to the fact you may have to wait months to see how it ends, or just avoid the anime studio’s work completely (which would be a shame), and watch anime from studios that can deliver their work on time.
