The ongoing tvN drama Typhoon Family is rapidly heading towards double digits after grabbing the best ratings of its run last night.
Data via Nielsen Korea shows Typhoon Family, Episode 12 earning 9.90 percent of the Sunday nationwide audience share yesterday, which is a substantial jump from its previous episode’s 8.54 percent on Saturday.
The K-drama’s Seoul ratings were also excellent, with Typhoon Family, Episode 12 garnering an even higher 9.99 percent of the viewership in the nation’s capital, after earning 8.70 percent on Saturday night with its 11th episode.
Yep, literally a squeak away from double digits, right?
Plus, with four more episodes still to drop, my guess is we will easily see the superb Korean drama move into double digits territory within the next week.

International ratings for Typhoon Family after Episode 12
Viewers over on that one Asian drama website whose ratings are often a bit dodgy are currently awarding Typhoon Family an 8.0 out of 10, and complaining about its script.
Considering the drama easily deserves an 8.3 to an 8.5, that rating is too low.
IMDB, the other main site with a slew of troll users, has the Korean drama rated even lower, at a stupid 7.7 out of 10 from around 750 users.
Then again, they are the useless site that allowed an army of Arab trolls to downrate King the Land to 1.1 out of 10 at one point (it’s now back up to a disgustingly stupid rating of 5.6 out of 10) due to one character they were “offended” by.
So, no, don’t base your viewing choices on ratings from either of these sites.
Typhoon Family #1 in Buzzworthy Dramas
Finally, Typhoon Family is currently in the Top 10 on Netflix worldwide. A site that doesn’t base its ratings on trolls, but on viewership.
The Korean drama has been on that chart for four weeks, and is currently sitting at #9 after hitting #5 during its first week.
Typhoon Family stars Lee Jun Ho and Kim Min Ha as the leads, and airs every Saturday and Sunday evening through November 30th.
