The Shiunji Family Children creditless opening animation introduces the adorably cute siblings

When it comes to cuteness, the just premiered rom-com anime The Shiunji Family Children (aka 紫雲寺家の子供たち) may just have the best looking family yet.
Those cute looks are now on display for all to adore in the just-released The Shiunji Family Children creditless opening animation, which came out via KADOKAWA Anime YouTube channel late last night.
That creditless opening features each of the Shiunji family’s children, starting with fourth youngest sister Minami, on to shyest sister Kotono, oldest sister Banri, second oldest sister Seiha and twin pink-haired Ouka.
The boys, of course, can’t be left out, so here comes youngest brother Shion giving us a nice pose and, of course, oldest brother Arata, who soon learns something about his “siblings” that will change his life.
The video also shows off the truly lovely art style of the new Doga Kobo-animated series.
The opening animation features a nice snippet of the opening theme song ‘Honey Lemon‘ by voice actress unit NACHERRY, which is upbeat and fun.
The Shiunji Family Children premiere details
The first episode of the12-episode family-themed rom-com began streaming in Japan and on Crunchyroll internationally yesterday.
The anime series is based on the manga by Reiji Miyajima — the author of Rent-a-Girlfriend.
It is a manga that has been publishing in volume form since July, 2022 in Japan, with six volumes out in Japanese so far, and three in English via Yen Press.
Volume 4 will hit in May.
According to the original Japanese version of the manga, its plot goes like this:
The seven brothers and sisters of the Shiunji family, who live in a luxurious house in Setagaya, are talented, colorful, and well-known in the community.
The eldest son, Arata, is pushed around by his five sisters, all of whom have strong personalities, but he has always cherished his family.
However, at his youngest sister’s birthday party, his father tells him a startling revelation that changes the fate of all the siblings…!
The ongoing anime series is being directed by Ryoki Kamitsubo, with Noboru Kimura in charge of series composition, and Miki Mutou designing the characters.
Studio Doga Kobo is animating.
