The Haunted Palace EP3 stills – Yook Sung Jae and Bona confront the Eight-feet Spirit

Right before the premiere of its third episode later on tonight, new The Haunted Palace stills are out featuring leads Yook Sung Jae and Bona.
Stills that suggest Episode 3 of the new SBS supernatural K-drama could just be its most scary yet as palace official Yun Gap (played by Yook Sung Jae) and shaman-avoiding optician Yeo Ri (Bona) head off to attempt to summon the Eight-feet Spirit.
Remember, that’s the spirit we ended Episode 2 on, as the ghost summoned from the well ominously intones the Eight-feet Spirit had “swallowed him up” (the young prince) and, if Yeo Ri was ever to look at that entity, she would die.

Apparently, in Episode 3, Yun Gap and Yeo Ri decide ignoring that warning is the way to go — after all, doing a ritual to bring the Imugi forth won’t hurt anyone, will it?

That is why we see Bona in The Haunted Palace, Episode 3 stills with hands raised in prayer as she demands the Eight-feet Spirit come force.
After all, somebody has to do something.
The king’s son is possessed and dying, the king is worried sick about his child while also trying to put down an insurrection that could destroy the country, and Yun Gap is actually dead and now walking around with the spirit of Gang Cheol the dragon inside him.
(Yep, this one is a bit complicated).
Other stills show Yung Gap (aka Gang Cheol the dragon) looking extremely worried as Yeo Ri does her thing.
Proving yet again, if a dragon is wary of the Eight-feet Spirit, this thing could might be apocalypse causing.
Enjoy the stills, and look forward to Episode 3 where, hopefully, we learn more about who the Eight-feet Spirit is, and what terrible thing happened to cause him/her to have such a life-destroying grudge against the king.
The K-drama itself, by the way, even with a slight drop in its ratings for its second episode is still pulling in the crowds in South Korea.
Along with its first two episodes, The Haunted Palace, Episode 3 will be streaming on Viki later on today. And yes, I will bet its ratings in Korea will be heading ever upwards.
