Song Zu Er and Chen Xin Hai‘s Wish You All the Best has officially wrapped filming, dropping cast photos and stills earlier today.
The Chinese romance drama began its four-month filming schedule on July 11th, with its filming end coming today with a comment from Tencent Video about the bittersweetness of parting.

They also confirmed all the main and supporting cast (which is superb, by the way), along with their character names:

The Wish You All the Best plot features a contract marriage
As for the Chinese drama’s plot, sure, it includes a couple of the usual tropes but, with its Japanese pirate beginnings at least, this one does sound like it may end up being a bit different:
In Fuzhou Prefecture’s Changle County, the famous eunuch Sanbao (Zheng He) gathers and trains his fleet before setting sail on his voyages to the Western Seas. While the sea ban brings trade to a standstill elsewhere, business in Changle thrives. The coastal prosperity, however, attracts rampant Japanese pirates.
Pei You’an, an officer from the Shenji Camp in charge of procuring firearms for the treasure fleet, is invited to join a coastal patrol. Unexpectedly, he becomes caught in a fierce naval battle—Japanese pirate ships surround Chinese merchant vessels, among them the trading ship of the Zhen family, whose daughter, Zhen Jiafu, is a talented fireworks artisan. This encounter binds their fates together.
To help Jiafu escape a forced marriage imposed by the powerful, Pei You’an enters into a contract marriage with her.
Through trials and tribulations, as they learn to understand and support each other, love quietly blossoms between them, and after enduring many hardships, they finally become true partners for life.
Plus, after I recently binge-watched Song Zu Er’s The Prisoner of Beauty and The Demon Hunter’s Romance recently, and enjoyed Chen Xin Hai’s performance in Feud, Wish You All the Best does have leads that are a step above the norm, so there’s that, right?
Enjoy the first Wish You All the Best stills, and look out for more promo visuals releasing as we get closer to the C-drama’s premiere.
My guess is that will probably be some time in the second half of 2026, if nothing untoward happens during and after post-production.
