Song Wei Long and Ju Jing Yi’s The Eternal Fragrance exceeds 3 million reservations as 2 pretty visuals drop

We are still waiting for a premiere date for the long, long, long-awaited upcoming fantasy romance drama The Eternal Fragrance, but that hasn’t stopped the Chinese drama earning over 3 million reservations on YOUKU so far.
That enormous milestone was announced by the Chinese streaming platform earlier today, along with two very pretty visuals — one featuring male lead Song Wei Long, who plays Lei Xiu Yuan, and the other of Ju Jing Yi as Jiang Li Fei / Xiao Bang Chui.

The 40-episode The Eternal Fragrance, which began its filming in November, 2023, and is directed by Kuk Kok Leung (Till the End of the Moon), also features Zhao Hua Wei, Liu Meng Rui, Zhang Zhi Hao, and Zhu Li Lan in the supporting cast.
According to Baike Baidu, the Chinese drama’s plot goes like this:
A celestial “Sea Meteor” falls, and the mythical Jianmu tree appears. It is said that whoever possesses the fruit of the Jianmu can command all of creation, plunging the three races—Immortals, Monsters, and Demons—into a bloody war.
A hundred years later, Lei Xiu Yuan (played by Song Wei Long) seeks to save his only family, his elder brother. To do this, he deliberately gets close to Xiao Bang Chui (played by Ju Jing Yi), an orphan girl from Qingqiu. By a twist of fate, they both enter the Chufeng Academy to study.
At the academy, friends who protect each other with their lives give Xiao Bang Chui her first taste of friendship and plant the seeds of young love. Her relationship with Lei Xiu Yuan deepens from friendship into mutual admiration, and they eventually join the same sect. Just as their hearts grow closer, the mysteries of their origins begin to unravel.
Xiao Bang Chui undergoes a dramatic transformation, becoming the ice-and-snow-like Jiang Li Fei.
Her unprecedented innate gifts attract the attention of those who seek to uncover her history and lineage. Lei Xiu Yuan stays by her side through life-and-death trials, leading them into a fog-like maze as others pursue the secrets of their extraordinary heritage.
With more and more promo pieces dropping over the last couple of months, my guess is we will be seeing The Eternal Fragrance premiere some time before the end of 2025. Fingers crossed, right?
