Plot Synopsis
From 1942 to 1945, after the fall of Hong Kong, Macau becomes a strategic transit port for supplies and an intelligence center, thrusting it into the eye of the storm. He Xian (Ren Jia Lun), a small bank owner, moves his family to Macau, unexpectedly becoming embroiled in unforeseen underworld and political turmoil.
During this time, He Xian meets the patriotic youth Qiao Yinwan (Lan Ying Ying). Encouraged and supported by his wife Guo Qiwen (Li Chun), he joins forces with Ke Lin (Tan Kai), a Chinese Communist Party agent stationed in Macau, and Ma Wanqi (Ma Qiyue), a patriotic businessman, among other patriots.
With a strong sense of patriotism and responsibility, they unite their comrades, share a common hatred of the enemy, and fight bravely.
They successfully broke the blockade, relieved Macau’s food shortage, and achieved major victories on various fronts, including financial warfare, supply warfare, and transportation warfare.
They helped the people of Macau overcome the difficult “turbulent period,” making significant contributions to the victory of the War of Resistance against Japan and the World Anti-Fascist War.
