Secret Romantic Guesthouse‘s Shin Ye Eun to star in another historical drama?
News out of South Korea reports Shin Ye Eun is potentially set to join Rowoon in the upcoming historical drama Takryu.
In response to the news, Shin Ye Eun’s agency, NPIO Entertainment, commented (as these agencies always d0):
The actress is positively considering the offer to star in Takryu.
You will remember we reported about Rowoon’s possible involvement Takryu last June.
Since then, nothing much has been heard about the drama or Rowoon’s involvement in it, with the news about Shin Ye Eun’s possible casting in it one of the first things we have heard.
What is Takryu?
Also going by the titles Murky Water or Muddy Current, Takryu is reportedly being directed by Choo Chang Min (Seven Years of Night), and is written by Chun Sung Il (All Of Us are Dead).
It tells the story of a man who begins life as a gangster during Joseon times, but transforms his life to become a legend of Joseon.
The drama has been reported to be a Disney Plus exclusive.
Shin Ye Eun in 2024
As for Shin Ye Eun, the 26-year-old actress recently starred in last year’s historical drama The Secret Romantic Guesthouse (which is currently streaming on Viki), as well as in the dramas Revenge of Others, More than Friends, Meow the Secret Boy, and He Is Psychometric.
The popular Korean actress is also co-starring in this year’s K-drama Jeong Nyeon alongside Kim Tae Ri, so if she is confirmed for a role in Takryu, it will be her second drama of 2024.
