Liu Yu Ning’s About Love gets February 26 premiere – trailer and 2 promo posters drop

Chinese urban romance drama to release over two years after filming ended
Well, color me so shocked I almost choked on my wine when I checked Weibo earlier today to see Liu Yu Ning’s long lost romance drama About Love is actually going to be released.
Over two years after it finished filming, I might add.
The premiere date for About Love (February 26th) was announced on Tencent Video’s Weibo account, along with a couple of new posters .
The first one features Liu Yu Ning and Wang Zi Wen, and celebrates the drama earning 500,000 pre-orders. (above)
The other, which is a full main cast poster, stars Wang Zi Wen, Liu Yu Ning, Jiang Xin, Gu Jia Cheng, Zhu Jia Qi, Huang Zi Qi, Vivienne Tien, Zhou Da Wei and special guest star Gao Wei Guang.
Tencent also commented about the Chinese romance drama’ s plot:
As night falls, eyes meet, some raise a glass in a tentative move, others flip cards to enter the game. When sincerity becomes the bargaining chip, love is no longer just a fleeting infatuation.
About Love production details
The Chinese urban romance drama began filming in August, 2023 at Hengdian World Studios, and ended filming in October of the same year.
It’s directed by Yang Lei (Swords into Ploughshares and The Legend of Heroes, who is known for being able to masterfully portray unique human stories amidst intense dramatic conflicts. So this one should be epic.
The drama will premiere exclusively on Tencent Video.

Meanwhile, a new About Love trailer has also been released that makes the Chinese drama look incredibly dramatic. And with some absolutely stunning atmospheric cinematography.
The trailer begins with the opening question, “You don’t believe in love that lasts until death, right?”, and ends with the statement “Cherish everything you have when you have it”.
And yep, there is a whole lot of intense and agonizingly heart-breaking drama in between those two utterances as each of the three couples is introduced, and we get to guess which ones will make it and which won’t?

As a huge Liu Yu Ning fan, I would be watching this anyway, but when you add in the entire main cast is phenomenal, the cinematography is gorgeous (and I’m all about a pretty story) and the drama is directed by Yang Lei who rarely disappoints, it seems to me it would take an untold catastrophe for this one not to be absolutely epic.
We’ll see then, eh?
