The new Li Xian and Li Yi Tong drama A Prophet (aka 长风起) has officially wrapped up filming today after starting off its filming on May 1st with a very large cast.
The wrap up ceremony was announced on Tencent Video’s Weibo account this morning, along with a slew of character visuals for the main and supporting cast. (six dark stills from the Chinese drama have also just dropped)
Tencent also commented on the filming’s end in a long message (below), confirming the Chinese drama’s director, along with the main, supporting and guest cast who are featured in the character visuals.

The drama, of course, is the second collaboration between Li Xian and Li Yi Tong, who also co-starred in Sword Dynasty back in 2019.
Having just wrapped filming and heading into post-production, it is likely we will not get to see A Prophet release until some time in 2026, if it receives a distribution license.
A Prophet plot
The upcoming C-drama is based on the web novel ‘Wo Shi Ge Suan Ming Xian Sheng‘ (我是个算命先生) by Yi Zhi (易之)
Meanwhile, and quite interestingly, a quite long and involved A Prophet plot synopsis has been released, which goes like this:
Shang Guan Chengming’s entire family is tragically wiped out in a scheme orchestrated by the Tianxiang Sect. Assuming a new identity, he goes undercover, seeking revenge—an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Using a series of intricate deceptions, he turns the tables on his enemies, exposing the dark secrets of their scams along the way. In the end, he dismantles the Tianxiang Sect, frees its victims, and upholds justice by punishing evil and rewarding good.
[Shang Guan Chengming (played by Li Xian), the wealthy young heir of a Jiangsu-Zhejiang family, loses his mother at a young age. His father, Shang Guan Yan, is too preoccupied with business to discipline him properly. As a result, Chengming becomes obsessed with visiting opera houses, where he meets Jiang Fei Yan (played by Li Yi Tong), a new performer in the troupe.
A chance act of heroism—saving her from danger—instantly brings them closer, and thus begins a fateful entanglement between the two.
As they spend more time together, Chengming grows increasingly fond of Fei Yan, and the two decide to elope. During their wedding banquet, an uninvited blind fortune-teller surnamed Du appears, claiming to be Fei Yan’s benefactor. He warns Chengming to stay away from her, or else his family will face annihilation.
Disbelieving in superstitions, Chengming drives Du away. Little does he know, the gears of fate have already begun turning.
