Law and the City Ep 12 ends drama on all-time high ratings – some international ratings also very high

I am absolutely thrilled to see the feelgood Law and the City, Episode 12 end the K-drama’s run on tvN in South Korea tonight with all-time high ratings both nationwide and from viewers in Seoul.
Especially as, since its premiere, the slice-of-life drama has been more popular with viewers in Korea than it seems to have been internationally.
That South Korean popularity then translated into Law and the City, Episode 12 earning excellent ratings earlier tonight, with its nationwide viewership rising to 7.70 percent from the K-drama’s previous all-time high of 6.39 percent for Episode 11 on Saturday night.
The drama’s Seoul rating also rose from Saturday evening’s 6.59 percent to tonight’s 7.50 percent.
An excellent end for this superb law-themed slice-of-life drama indeed.
International ratings for Law and the City on the rise as K-drama ends
As for ratings outside Korea, IMDB’s international viewers are currently rating the K-drama a ridiculously low 7.4 out of 10.
Then again, as I warn often, that site has a plethora of trolls rating dramas and films, and with the site’s administrators doing little if anything to prevent it.
When you look at the high caliber of the writing and the performances in Law and the City, that seems to be the case here.
As Law and the City, Episode 12 is watched by more international viewers, however, my guess is its far-too-low rating on My Drama List (MDL) will also rise.
That MDL rating is currently 7.9 out of 10 with the K-drama itself deserving at least an 8.2 out of 10, if not higher.
Fingers crossed, it will eventually get there.
Meanwhile, you will find more appropriate ratings at Viki, where the K-drama is streaming, and where it is now earning a high 9.4 out of 10 from more than 3,600 people. And yep, well-deserved.
