King the Land has been on Netflix’s Top 10 Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows list since almost its first day of release
I am absolutely thrilled the Korean drama King the Land is still ranked incredibly high on Netflix’s Most-Watched Non-English TV Show rankings.
After all, it is the best K-drama airing at the moment, and one that has been a pleasant surprise to many when it comes to the comedy (truly funny), the performances from the two main leads (superb) and the plot (interesting).
Then again, King the Land viewers have obviously realized all that, as the drama has been in the Top 10 on Netflix almost from the first day it premiered on the platform back on June 17th.
According to the latest data just released from the streaming platform, King the Land was ranked at #3 on the Most-Watched Non-English TV Shows chart for the week of July 3rd to July 9th, 2023.
Since it premiered, that data also shows the rom com has garnered almost 31 million hours viewed, and is currently in the Top 10 in 30 countries.
They are Greeece, Romania, Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE and Vietnam.
It is also the #1 Most-Watched Non-English TV Show on Netflix in the Philippines.
All I can say is I have done by bit to help support this fabulous Korean drama, as I have watched the last four episodes twice this week myself. They are that good.
The 16-episode K-drama King the Land stars Lee Junho and Im Yoon Ah (aka YoonA), with new episodes coming out every Saturday and Sunday through August 6th.
