Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night creditless opening and ending animations show JELEE girls’ story

Both the Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night creditless opening animation and ending animation sequences have been released today as the third episode of the anime heads our way later this week.
With two episodes released, the anime is doing a lovely job so far showing what it’s like being a teenage girl, and how the world can almost feel like it’s coming to an end, just because a segment of society, including friends and family, criticize what you love.
But when you meet people who not only “get you” but admire what you’re doing, things turn around quickly and what seemed dark, depressing and made you feel like you had no energy for anything, suddenly has life and color.
Anime’s opening and ending animation sequences tell part of the story
The Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night creditless opening animation and ending animation sequences show both of these realities.
Being the intro to the anime, its opening animation — which features the Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night OP ‘Irodori‘ by KanoeRana (the blandest of the two songs, if the truth were known) — looks briefly at the negativity the girls’ were stuck in before friendship pulled them out of it.
It then shows the girls rushing off to meet their friends, then working together on the “group artist” project they all have a part in making succeed.
The anime’s ending animation — which includes the ED ‘1-nichi wa 25-jikan‘ by Anna Tsurushima — has the girls on Zoom individually working on their part of their JELEE project, then getting frustrated with the difficulty.
By the end of the animation though, they are all in one Zoom frame, happy to be together and having figured out what they need to do to make the project good enough to go live.
