In the Clear Moonlit Dusk trailer shows Yoi and Kohaku and falling in love
I’m super interested in the upcoming romance drama In the Clear Moonlit Dusk, as I’m mildly obsessed with the manga written and illustrated by Mika Yamamori.
A manga that follows Yoi Takiguchi, a first-year high school student who looks so much like an incredibly handsome boy, her classmates call her ‘Prince’, and Kohaku Ichimura, the school’s other prince, and a guy from a rumored rich family who isn’t usually that interested in girls.
Then he bumps into Yoi, literally, calls her “beautiful”, then mistakes her for a pretty guy, and then is flabbergasted when later on the same day his friends tell him “No, Prince is a girl. And she’s even more famous in school than you”.
Soon Kohaku is pursuing Yoi like there’s no tomorrow, while she finds herself flustered, nervous and no idea why she feels the way she does.

But, when the pair suddenly decide to try dating as a “test”, all at the instigation of Yoi, things get incredibly fun. But intense.
All of this is shown in the just-released In the Clear Moonlit Dusk trailer, which came out on DMM Pictures YouTube channel today, and suggests the art style, and the character designs, in the upcoming anime are just as beautiful as that in the hit manga series.
The trailer also previews the In the Clear Moonlit Dusk opening theme song ‘Uruwashi‘, which is performed by Japanese rock band UNISON SQUARE GARDEN.
It then announces the anime’s premiere date — January 11th, 2026.

Also known as Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki, the In The Clear Moonlit Dusk anime adaptation is being animated by East Fish Studio, which is another thing that thrills me about this romance series as the studio did such a beautiful job animating the similarly-themed A Condition Called Love.
Yusuke Maruyama (episode director of Trapezium) is directing, with Ayumu Hisao (Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life) in charge of series composition, and Yuki Fukuda (Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill) designing those stunning characters.

Update, January 11th, 2026: The first episode of In the Clear Moonlit Dusk dropped today and, sadly, everything about it reeks of low-quality. A shame. As the manga is superb.
