Heavenly Ever After EP8 and Resident Playbook EP10 grab highest ever ratings on Sunday night

Both Heavenly Ever After and Resident Playbook had bumper nights in South Korea on Sunday night, as they grabbed their highest ever ratings.
Both dramas saw solid audience share increases, but with Resident Playbook especially seeing a big bump in its ratings.
Heavenly Ever After, Episode 8 grabs a new personal ratings record
According to Nielsen Korea, Heavenly Ever After, Episode 8 earned 6.88 percent of the nationwide viewership, which is nicely up from Episode 7’s rating of 6.41 percent on Saturday.
The Korean romance drama also performed similarly in Seoul, where it garnered an even higher 7.64 percent from viewers in the nation’s capital — up from the 7.46 percent it saw with its previous episode.
The JTBC drama was also the #1 show in its time slot on pay TV.
Resident Playbook, Episode 10 grabs substantial ratings increases
Meanwhile, Resident Playbook, Episode 10 performed even better with a nationwide rating of 7.49 percent, which is substantially up from Episode 9’s previous record viewership of 6.21 percent.
The medical-themed drama’s Seoul viewership was even higher, with an 8.45 percent audience share, which was also markedly up from 7.10 percent for Episode 9.
The tvN drama also grabbed the #1 spot in its time slot.
With Heavenly Ever After still having four more episodes left to air then, and with Resident Playbook‘s airing its final two episodes next weekend, my guess is we will see even higher ratings records for these two, frankly, superb dramas next week as well.
Fingers crossed as, when you look at the Korean dramas currently airing, the Kim Hye Ja and Son Suk Ku-led Heavenly Ever After and Resident Playbook, starring Go Youn Jung, Shin Shi Ah, Han Ye Ji, Kang You Seok, and Jung Joon Won, have easily been the stellar standouts of the season.
