With just one episode of the Korean fantasy romance drama Heavenly Ever After left to air, I am not surprised that Episode 11 garnered its best nationwide rating of its run so far last night, are you?
According to the data from Nielsen Korea dropped earlier this morning, Heavenly Ever After, Episode 11 grabbed 7.01 percent of the nationwide viewership.
That is a massive increase from the rating for its previous episode (4.94 percent) — and a superb rating after it earned the lowest ratings of its entire run for Episode 10 last Sunday.
The JTBC drama also earned an excellent audience share in Seoul, where it grabbed 7.09 percent of the Saturday evening viewership, markedly up from Episode 10’s all-time low of 5.27 percent.
The series finale of Heavenly Ever After airs/streams later on tonight, and my guess is we will see another record rating for the Korean drama then.
Episode 12 of Heavenly Ever After
I don’t know why, but I have a feeling the final episode of this utterly wonderful drama will likely be a tear jerker.
After all, last night’s was bad enough as we learned the identities of Som Yi (Han Ji Min) and pastor Go Eun Ho (Ryu Deok Hwan) and, with tonight’s episode of Heavenly Ever After, it will be time to say goodbye to Lee Hae Sook and Go Nak Joon as they make decisions about their future life (?) together.
Stills released by JTBC, including the one above of the pair waving goodbye to the reincarnation center staff, suggest a reincarnation is definitely in the books. Although the Episode 12 trailer (below) also suggests otherwise? (Hint: Never believe trailers. They are cut for shock value).
Where will a reincarnation lead the pair? Who were they to each other in their past lives? Will we find out?
If they reincarnate, will they meet again? Will they marry? Will their next death and arrival in heaven work out a little better than this one?
Heavenly Ever After, Episode 12 will air on JTBC at 22:30 (KST) tonight, and will stream on Netflix, and then we will see, eh?
