Both Han Hyo Joo (Moving) and Gong Myung (Second Shot at Love) have been confirmed as the main leads in the upcoming MBC drama Your Ground (aka 너의 그라운드).
MBC confirmed the pair’s participation in the project this morning, with a planned release for the sports-themed K-drama of some time in 2026.
Your Ground is a baseball-themed romance drama that is directed by Lee Sang Yeob (director of Yumi’s Cells and this year’s My Youth).
It’s written by Hwang Hae Yeon and, yep, fans of the 1996 smash-hit American film Jerry Maguire will love this one as it’s a remake in K-drama form.

What is the Your Ground plot?
If you have already watched the film Jerry Maguire, you will already know the plot of Your Ground. If not, here it is:
Gong Myung portrays Kang Hae-hwan, an ace left-hander who stopped playing baseball for two years after an injury. Thanks to his tall stature, his strong physique, and handsome face, he stands out everywhere.
His main weapon is a fastball that exceeds 150km, but his personality is a breaking ball whose trajectory is unknown.
Seo Hui Seung (played by Han Hyo Joo) is a lawyer and sports agent who works in a prominent law firm. She has a sweet personality with a relaxed attitude; but she knows her abilities and charm better than anyone. She is extremely ambitious and doesn’t take no for an answer.
Han Hyo Joo and Gong Myung careers so far
38-year-old South Korean actress Han Hyo Joo began her career as a young teenager in the 2006 drama Nonstop, Season 5.
She has since starred in K-dramas like Spring Waltz, Dong Yi, Happiness, Moving, Blood Free and this year’s Romantics Anonymous.
Meanwhile, Gong Myung, who is seven years her junior, is known for his roles in The Bride of Habaek, Revolutionary Love, Feel Good to Die, Be Melodramatic, Lovers of the Red Sky, and this year’s Way Back Love, Second Shot at Love and Mercy for None.
Yep, Gong Myung has been busy this year. And yep, if you look at the actors’ ages, this one is an ‘age-gap romance’. Not that I care. Do you?
