And so I am going to ask this again – how does a Chinese drama go from the romantic sounding title A Decade of Nightscape Lights to the utterly dreary Generation to Generation?
The title the upcoming Tencent Video wuxia series is now stuck with after the powers-that-be decided this would be a title that would sell the drama in English-speaking countries.
Hint – it won’t.
But here we are, with yet another Chinese drama boringly-titled and heading our way and, apparently, we’re all supposed to remember who stars in it even though the name of the drama itself is completely forgettable.
But anyway.. I digress.
Generation to Generation exceeds 800,000 reservations
Generation to Generation is being promoted on Tencent Video’s social media today because, still 10 days away from the mystery romance series’ premiere on February 22nd, and it has already exceeded 800,000 pre-orders.
A number that, of course, will pass the 1 million mark before the first episodes of Generation to Generation drops.
The news about the 800,000 milestone also came with a cute poster starring leads Zhou Yi Ran and Bao Shang En, so fans will be even more excited when the C-drama ultimately drops.
Generation to Generation (which I will forever think of as the much prettier-titled A Decade of Nightscape Lights) stars Zhou Yi Ran and Bao Shang En, with a supporting cast that includes Yu Jia Cheng, Fan Jing Yi, Bian Tian Yang and Yan Yu Chen.
The Chinese wuxia drama dropped a slew of vibrant-looking character posters yesterday, and is scheduled to premiere on Tencent Video and WeTV on February 22nd.
Mark your calendars, and keep checking back to Baozi Buns as we update you with other visuals promoting the Chinese drama that will likely be dropping soon.
