Flex X Cop Season 2 confirmed with Season 1’s ratings already setting it up for success

Flex X Cop gets official confirmation of a Season 2
Prepare for an intense journey as SBS drama Flex X Cop gears up for its highly anticipated second season.
Yep, you read that correctly – even though we still have two more episodes of the first season of the drama still to air, Flex X Cop is most definitely getting a second season.
Yay, eh?
So definite is that Flex X Cop second season, it was confirmed earlier today (March 18th) by a representative of the series, with the development of Season 2 apparently already in full motion.
Screenwriter Kim Ba Da, who also wrote the hit Korean drama My Name, is already delving deep into the creation of the script for the forthcoming season.
On top of that, discussions are also being carried out with both main leads Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun, as well as the rest of the main and supporting cast with, it sounds like, only the scheduling for each of them needing to be nailed down.
Then again, Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun would be crazy to turn down a Season 2, as Flex X Cop is not only one of the most successful dramas of 2024 so far, it has been one of the most successful of both talented actors’ careers.
The popularity of Flex X Cop Season 1 sets up Season 2 for equal success
The Korean action comedy drama premiered on January 26th to a solid 5.7 percent audience share nationwide, and a 5.8 percent in Seoul.
Both ratings were higher than those earned by My Demon, the previous drama in its time slot.
By its 8th episode, the K-drama had skyrocketed to double digits (11.0 percent nationwide/11.5 percent in Seoul).
Since then, it has easily kept ratings between 8.3 and 9.8 percent for each episode.
Even managing to more than hold its own against the new and very popular MBC drama Wonderful World, when it premiered on March 1st in the same time slot.
With two more episodes yet to air before Season 1 of the Korean drama ends next weekend, its popularity then (and its fun plot and superb performances) are only setting Season 2 up for equal success.
As it should as, from beginning to almost end, Flex X Cop has been one of the best and most entertaining K-dramas of 2024 so far.
Once more information about Flex X Cop Season 2 is released, we’ll update you on that but, man, this is something to look forward to, isn’t it?
Until then, the final two episodes of Flex X Cop will air next Friday and Saturday, March 22nd and 23rd, with Disney Plus carrying the Korean drama in some international regions.
