Suzhou-based Dancing CG Studio is a mid-size Chinese animation studio that was founded in 2003.
The company describes itself and its work in these terms:
We concentrate on CG technology with IP research and development capabilities and high-quality technical standards in the fields of animation and film and television special effects.
Our business covers cultural creativity projects. That includes incubation, investment, management, production, planning, distribution, authorization and all other process areas.
The company has a team of nearly 200 people. Our business covers Japan, South Korea, North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and other regions.
While Dancing CG Studio does create a large variety of animated works, much of their work is currently concentrated on animated shorts and films for children.
Unfortunately, these have not gained much traction in the west (likely due to distribution issues, as the quality of each short/film is very high), but have been very popular in China and in a number of other Asian countries.
Dancing CG Studio’s donghua releases then are currently limited to just two series that are the most known to non-Chinese/non-Asian audiences. (see below)
