I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely obsessed with the enormous and utterly gorgeous billboards Chinese production companies erect around Beijing and beyond when a new C-drama is either about to premiere or has just dropped its first few episodes.
For instance, the new Born to Be Alive billboards that have just gone up this week in Beijing and Shanghai as the Chinese Tibet-themed drama premieres its first episodes tomorrow.

Those huge billboards promote Born to Be Alive with a comment from iQIYI on their social media accounts reminding C-drama fans to tune into the streaming platform every day from January 30th onwards as the 40-episode environment-themed drama releases new episodes.

What is Born to Be Alive about?
Not the usual wuxia drama (thank God, as even me as a huge fan gets a bit tired of them now and again), Born to Be Alive is a crime thriller that takes place in Tibet and follows police officer, and member of the mountain patrol team, Bai Ju (played by Yang Zi) as she fights to protect the Tibetan environment and the lands of the people she loves.
It also features a stellar cast that includes Hu Ge, Li Guang Jie, Zhang Zhe Hua, Feng Bing and Su Xin.

Check out the just-released Born to Be Alive billboards and you’ll get a feel as to what you can expect.
But, if what is released looks as stunning as its billboards, concept trailer and character visuals, the C-drama should be a 2026 standout.,
