Beyond the Bar #1 on Buzzworthy Dramas rankings – tvN dramas also killing it this week

South Korea’s Good Data Corporation has released their latest Buzzworthy Drama rankings, with JTBC’s Beyond the Bar grabbing the #1 spot.
The rankings are compiled from social media mentions, comments in online forums, videos, blogs and mentions in news articles about Korean dramas that are soon to air, already airing, or have just finished airing.
This week’s data then shows Beyond the Bar in the top spot after debuting at #5 last week, followed by tvN’s Law and the City at #2 (legal-themed dramas do well in South Korea, eh?), The Winning Try on SBS at #3, tvN’s Love, Take Two at #4, and The Defects on ENA.
The rest of the Top 10 looks like this:
- Beyond the Bar (JTBC)
- Law and The City (tvN)
- The Winning Try (SBS)
- Love, Take Two (tvN)
- The Defects (ENA)
- The Nice Guy (JTBC)
- Our Golden Days (KBS2)
- Mary Kills People (MBC)
- Queen’s House (KBS2)
- Bon Appétit, Your Majesty (tvN)
In other words, with Law and the City, Love, Take Two and Bon Appétit, Your Majesty tvN’s dramas are currently killing it in South Korea, with JTBC and KBS2 a close second.
Update: Beyond the Bar, Episode 8 has just grabbed its best ratings yet, as it continues to sit on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Series chart for its 3rd week.
