As a Reincarnated Aristocrat‘s Ars is still a hard sell
I must confess, I was not immediately sold when the first season of fantasy isekai anime As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World premiered back in 2024.
I mean, come on, a 30-odd-year-old Japanese office worker is reincarnated in the body of Ars, an aristocratic child, with all of his memories intact.
But then proceeds to act like a dumb, ignorant child who makes ridiculously stupid decisions for most of the rest of the season. And in the second season beyond that.
I didn’t get, and still don’t if I am honest, the point of the reincarnation then?
After all, in my mind and others I’ve spoken to, the author of the original light novels might as well have told the same story but from the perspective of a child from a noble family trying to do what’s right for the people around him by using his appraisal skill to recruit the most highly-skilled followers.
While not being particularly skilled himself.
That being said, while I still can’t say Ars is one of my favorite anime characters, some of the other characters in the ongoing anime series — Charlotte, Rietz and Rosell in particular — and it’s feelgood premise, did save the show for me somewhat.
And so, yep as it stands now, As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World, Season 3 is still on my list to watch.
Even if my irritation with Ars will probably continue well into it.

First As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World, Season 3 PV and key visual released
That Season 3, by the way, just got updated promotional material today via its official X account with the first As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World PV and key visual (above) dropping.
As you would expect, the PV gives us a flashback of the events of the fantasy anime’s first two seasons while introducing two new characters, Musha and Zat.
The anime’s first key visual features Ars wandering through town with Rietz, while a rushing Musha and a Zat lost in thought appear in the background as well.
The PV also reveals a Fall, 2026 premiere.
Studio Mother (animators of More than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers) is continuing to animate the series, while Takao Kato is back directing, Daisuke Ohigashi is series composer (a promotion from episode script writer in Season 2), and Yuko Yahiro is again designing the characters.
Just like the previous seasons, the anime is based on the web novels/light novels penned by Miraijin A and illustrated by jimmy, which have sold incredibly well since they first began publication
Watch the anime’s first official PV below and, yes, from that quick watch alone, I can attest to my irritation with Ars still being carried into Season 3. How about yours?
